ABSTRACT & EXPRESSIONIST
  POWER PAINTER

I am
a painter of raw power, force, strength and energy.  The paintings conquer you and surround you with that energy.  The energy is seen in the marks that are present in the work.  Presenting the world solely from a subjective perspective, distorting the figures radically for the emotional effect in order to evoke moods or ideas.  The paintings are representations of living power that come out from inside the paintings.  As an Expressionist Painter I do not look at the subject when I paint, but I rather " SEE " images unfolding before me as I paint.  The images become the reality and that reality is transferred into the canvas.  I reject the immediate perception and  I build on more complex psychic structures...impressions or mental images that pass through my visual filter.  I strive to depict not objective reality, but rather the subjective emotions and responses that my visual filter responds to.

I seek to portray the emotions and the subjective interpretations, vivid emotional reactions by powerful colors and dynamic compositions, energy, moving energy and rising strength, force and moving power.

 THE PROCESS

My creative force and power comes from within.  As an Expressionist Power Painter I paint not from outside of the world I see, but from the inside.  My Art professors always noticed a strong power and force inside my paintings very early on during Art School.  That is why I gave myself the name " Painter of Power "  All of my work comes from my sketchbooks the SOURCE of my creative energy.

I am an - Abstract Expressionist Power Painter -  my works are representations of living power breathing through the images.
